UPPER FOUNDATION Remote Learning
Below you will find a copy of our weekly remote learning timetable for Upper Foundation. This is also available when your child logs into Google Classrooms when the teacher will share the activities to be undertaken each day.
Here a few comments from parents and children regarding home learning in lockdown.
What have been the strengths of the remote learning for your child in the current lockdown?
- Seeing their teacher and friends allowing some normality in the current lockdown.
- Allowing my daughter to feel like she’s still at school in a small way.
- We can go at our own pace and use what is being done in lessons at later times to build my daughters skills. I can be more involved in my daughters learning.
- Being able to have actual lessons, quality teaching to support activities provided has been invaluable. My child has taken a lot from seeing the teacher and his friends online. It has kept him motivated and engaged. Its great to see his learning had been ongoing through this period.
- The remote learning has been excellent, so many activities and live lessons. The work has all been engaging, clear and a lovely mix of subjects. The lessons and activities give a lovely structure to the day. Staff have made it clear that we can do what works with our family, which gives the flexibility to work round family commitments and child motivation levels, or our own activities.
- The feedback on activities in Tapestry and the quick response to any queries on email have been amazing. We really appreciate how hard the staff must all be working to support us. Thank you very much.
- Interaction with their teacher & classmates
- Very well organised and easily manageable activities.
- It has been really well organised lots of links and activities sent, if you can’t get on the lessons. Also my son loves been able to see his friends on the screen.
- Interaction with Miss Puckering and classmates.
- The support school are giving and the resources they are providing to guide us.
