FAITH IN ACTION AWARDS
Faith in Action is a national award scheme for young people between 10 and 16, supported by CYMFed (Catholic Youth Ministry Federation). It is an effective way of making our Bishop's vision for children and young people's faith formation a reality, providing opportunities for our young people to be involved in on-going formation and catechesis.
The scheme has been designed to be accessible, to acknowledge good works and encourage more, and to ensure action is rooted in faith. The introduction of the first 'Pin' level coincides with Confirmation preparation in Year 6 and will become a stepping stone for their continued involvement in the Christian life as they move on to their high school education.
Children in Year 5 & Year 6 have been invited to take part in the award over the year in conjunction with the Parish community and as part of their Confirmation preparation programme.
During COVID-19 our Faith in Action group have been undertaking their meetings via Zoom remembering our community through prayer and action.
