WELCOME BACK! We are delighted to welcome our families back to the new academic year. We look forward to another year of learning and exciting opportunities for our children.

Looking for SCHOOL PLACES? We have some spaces in our Reception and Key Stage 1 classes - please contact the school office for more information and to arrange a visit to our wonderful school.

During the summer break we are pleased to have installed a new roof with a feature skylight and mood lighting to our entrance area. In additon to this, lighting throughout the school has been upgraded to bright white LED lighting, increasing efficiency and making the school environment much brighter for our children.

During this Season of Creation, our children have been thinking about the wonders of God's gift to us - our world. The Parish held a Celebration of Creation event following Sunday Mass where families stayed to reflect on Scripture, plant bulbs, do creation crafts and even meet some of God's amazing creatures. The children produced artwork which formed part of the Parish display.

Our themed week, celebrating our diversity through faith, has been a real success. We welcomed Imran from the Muslim Teaching Services. Year 5 visited the Sinai synagogue in Leeds. We celebrated our similarities and differences in our celebrations and faith and what makes each one of us special. Each day we explored a different faith and its customs and celebrations. These included Sikhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam. Click here to see our gallery of photos from the week.

DRUMBA comes to St Benedict's!

School has been buzzing with the sound of drums and energized children as we welcomed Jake and Kyle from Drumba to lead workshops with our children. Drumba is a new and growing activity that combines the skills of music and drumming with aerobic style physical activity. It was an amazing day and something that we hope to build into both our curricular and extra-curricular opportunities in the future! Check out the video below and further insights into the day on our PE & Sport page of the website.
